SKY VISION

Anyone who spent the Sunday on Flinders Lane could not miss this peculiar vision. People wearing what looked like the very first camera on their heads walked along the street in groups of five (four camera heads and one leader).

Curious as I am I had to ask what they were up to and apparently it was some kind of periscope looking up in the sky...

Anyone knows what this is? Maybee even tried one for themselves... I'm so so curious what they discovered:-)

Sweet Marlo had her glam Birthday celebration in decadent The Carlton on Bourke st in Melbourne. I felt that clearly, on a special day like this she needed some suitable, spectacular specs. So, with a golden ribbon and a sparkly long necklace wrapped around the frame and a shiny, golden chain (so not to loose them in the later hours) I made Marlo some real eye couture especially designed for her!

I am a BIG fan of contrasts. I also loove this outfit. Pretty gold lace and schoolgirl hair with leather jacket and a large, robust, heavy pair of glasses - simply to bring out the contrasts!

TOO SEXY FOR SPECS?

As the latest research shows, Aussie men are putting their eyesight at risk by avoiding regular eye tests, with one in ten males admitting they have never been to an optometrist. Tradesmen and men who work outdoors are the worst offenders, with almost half (47%) not following the recommendations.

And the reason for it? Vanity.

According to the poll, 13 per cent of men had avoided the optometrist because they were afraid they would be told they needed glasses...

First of all, by finding the right frame, glasses can help enhance your personal style, they can add character to one’s look and complete the outfit. Secondly, as men don’t have too many accessories to add, glasses are the perfect addition! Guys, get over your fear and start to accessorize! If you haven't already discovered the most noticeable accessory of them all, it's time now because glasses are hot. And there are plenty of cool ones out there.

FRAMED FAVORITES

A year ago something big happened in my life. Something that completely changed my life. I started drinking coffee. To my sisters satisfaction, her being a professional barista (coffee chef) and to my friends satisfaction, as there is something very cosy, atmospherical and special with the coffee culture that is best when shared with others. Something I didn't understand in my previous, coffee-free life...

Anyway, thought I'd share with you what I do every Sunday morning. Brunch incl a strong flat white. Here in a new favorite place called Gaia (notice the Gaia name written in the coffee.. stylish) just off Tourak rd. Wearing my Sunday outfit (leggings, knitted cardigan and my favorite pair of glasses called Toby).

Now I'm off to Sydney! So long.
